It is fascinating to think that from Japan to africa and from North America to South America in the amazonian junges people have been painting and tattooing designs on their skin for hundreds, and probaly thousands, of years.

There must be something inside of us that maes us want to decorate ourselves in this way. If you think about it, is there really a great deal of difference between having a tattoo and wearing attractive clothes or makeup? Of course, the tattoo is longer lasting but if you love a tattoo design you can wear it and display it forever.

Tattoo designs have an interesting history and I enjoy finding out about tattoo designs on different continents and in different times.
