Why an electric car needs an elaborate charging system
The electric car, unlike the conventional gasoline engine car, needs a lot of good batteries to keep running. It does not only use its battery for the powering of the wipers and other electric accessories, but for the functioning of the motor which drives the car along.
For this reason, the battery charging system of the electric car is more complex than that of the regular car. In the conventional car, the alternator is the main charging system but that would be unstable fro the number of batteries that the electric car has. The DIY electric car has about 10 batteries put together in a row.
