Consentual relations earn sex offender records
We met a couple recently who are quite young, just barely legal in fact. He is not allowed to leave a certain area of the state because he has sex offender records.
Now, what we found out is that they have been together for several years and that her parents did not like him so they pressed charges against him for the relationship he has with their daughter.
How crazy is that? They are still together after all that and he now is labeled a sex offender for life!
It seems to me that she could have spared him the label by not seeing him for a while and getting back together after she was legal.
