How do you get a patent?
I am doing an essay for school about patent laws, but I do not know how you get a patent. I know patent laws differ greatly by country, and that in third world nations and China they are very loosely enforced. Also, how do patents differ from copyright and trademark? These are just a few questions I have, and I will sadly need some kind of source, aside from "the Free Encyclopedia" as teachers tend to not think too highly of it. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out. This is not a hard assignment, but I want to make sure I do it right!
