Member’s of LLCs

Members of an LLC are similar to the shareholders of a corporation or the two or more partners involved in a partnership. These members do not have to be people, they can also be other business – including corporations and other LLCs.  The amount of interest that a member has in a company is also known as their membership interest. The interest can be describes in units or shares; shares make things easy when you think of people bidding on Wall Street to own just a small piece of a company. The more of a membership interest that you have, the more say you have about the goings on in the company. This is important to note if you want to form an LLC; you need to know how membership is going to change your operations.
