My mum reckons she’s a bit of a Delia Smith in the kitchen, and in fairness she is a pretty good cook. The biggest dinner party she’s ever cooked for was 12 people one Christmas though, and that really gave her a lot of hassle – and she said she’d never do it again. So when her friend asked her to prepare all the food for her 50 wedding guests, she felt bad saying no but still wanted to help sort out the caterers.
