My reduced work hours forced me to think about a transition.
I have been an electrician for twelve years and have been on both the residential and commercial side of my profession. Lately things were getting a little slow and my hours were cut back from an even forty to about twenty hours a week. I was kind of worried because my wife doesn’t work and I needed more than twenty hours a week to make ends meet. I started thinking of a career transition as a way to make more money. Years before I was an electrician I worked as a plumber for three summers. I had a friend in town who owns a plumbing outfit so I decided to give him a call.
