The Foreign Exchange Market
The forex exchange market or forex market is basically young when compared to other form of stock market business. This is said to have begun in 1970s after the United States dropped the gold standard as baseline and national currencies started to fluctuate massively. For more than 30 years prior to that, most countries had agreed to maintain their currency values stable in relation to the U.S. dollar, making a foreign exchange market unusable. With that no longer the scenario, banks and other financial institutions quickly realized that a profit could be generated in this kind of market.
