Living Healthy could change your genes

Researchers have recently discovered that living a healthier lifestyle may cause changes to our genetic dispositions that we were born with. According to a recent study done on 30 men who had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, scientists have concluded that by incorporating a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, legumes and soy products, and exercising once a day our genetics can be altered. Apparently by changing our daily routines to incorporate a healthier approach to eating, exercise, and learning to manage emotional problems such as stress our bodies learn to turn certain bad genes off, and certain disease fighting genes on. It may sound like science fiction, and obviously a lot more research is going to have to be performed to determine whether or not this is 100% possible, but this preliminary test shows promise, and not just for men with prostate cancer. If these new conclusions are true, that a healthier lifestyle really can alter our genetics, this gives all different kinds of people who are at risk for diseases such as cancer because it has been passed down through the family bloodline, high hopes for a healthy and safe future.
