If you are buying your cordless power tools from a local hardware or home improvement store, you are wasting your money. The first few purchases that I made were from a store, and as it turns out, I could have gotten the same Skil 18v lithium ion batteries for 10 bucks less at amazon.com. I don’t know how they do it, but it seems like they sell everything from books to lawn furniture for less money than anywhere else. The only thing that I would recommend though, is to look at the tool or battery at the store first to make sure it is exactly what you want. This is really the only drawback of buying Skil cordless power tools and 18v batteries online.
