A lot of people are thankful for how fortunate they have been in their lives and they want to put something back into the community to show their appreciation. Many of these people donate money to worthy causes that they believe can make a difference to other peoples lives but unfortunately the credit problems are making life tough for everyone.

When money is tight it becomes more difficult to donate money to the volountary causes that we would like to support but it may be you have something more valuable to offer, your time. If you have spare time on your hands you can donate some of that and spend it working to help fundraising for good causes by collecting or promoting the cause.

There are many things you can do that do not require money so give your time instead.
