I guess we all must have them

I find it kind of strange that the same cell phone providers we have in the US also provide services in the UK and other areas around the world. The thing is in all different countries and places the rules though for what is done and how they do it all vary depending on where you live. For instance in the UK you have to get what is called a port authorisation code before transferring your old mobile number to the new provider or phone. They handle it in different ways, the cell providers that is. Though in the end usually they will allow you to take the number with you when you quit their services.
