I recently came across a story on Yahoo that listed the top 5 scenic drives in america.  While I have to say I’ve seen some pretty incredible scenery in my travels, I’ve only ever been on one of them, and I wasn’t surprised to see it on the list at all – it’s absolutely incredible.  It is the Sun Road in Glacier National Park in Montana.  I have to say that even though I’ve been to a good portion of the national parks in the lower 48, Glacier National Park is absolutely the most breathtaking (and yes, I have been to the Grand Canyon).  Some of the other drives on their list is California State Route 1, Hana Highway in Hawaii, and Utah’s Highway 12 that connects Bryce Canyon Natinoal Park and Capital Reef National Park.
