Rap Has Become A Culture
When hip hop burst onto the scene back in the early seventies it was seen as a rebellion against the well known music types such as disco and rock and roll. With clubs and ghettos opening up all over New York, hip hop was welcomed as an alternative and appreciated by many.Nevertheless, as styles of hip hop altered over the years, loop download became harder as ‘Gangsta Rap’ took over. Renowned rappers, such as Chuck D and N.W.A, talked about run ins with the police and gang violence and rap was seen as more of a culture than style of music.
