I’ve just been reading some disturbing Articles about the terrible effects of climate change. Global warming is already killing around 300,000 people a year. The damage to the economy caused by increased heatwaves, floods and forest fires costs $billions already, but is likely to get worse. Countries like Bangladesh, and some of the other very poor countries in the world are seiing an increase in floods which have a devastating effect on the economy. The major concern though is naturally about peoples lives. It’s thought that by 2030 there could be 500,000 deaths each year, according to the reports commissioned by the U.N.
