I am a web designer. One of the services I provide for my clients is trying to keep up with making sure that their websites are protected from malicious hackers. This is an ongoing process. It seems as though every time I add a new form of protection, a hacker will devise a new way around it. I once had a client who wanted to know exactly what services I was providing her to earn my yearly fee. I replied, “In addition to making those minor changes that you ask for from time to time, I must also keep up with adding scripts for your website, to protect it from being invaded and taken over by hackers.” “Oh”, she replied. “I’m glad that you keep up with that kind of thing. I certainly wouldn’t know how to do it myself!”
